Master in Transmedia Architecture

A first in the history of higher education!

The Haute École Albert Jacquard, the University of Namur and the IMEP are launching in September the Master of Transmedia Architecture, a second-cycle programme targeting the theoretical and mostly practical dimensions of Transmedia.

In a society where the borders between designers, senders and receivers are getting blurry, transmedia aims at developing a narrative content on several media by making a difference between the developed content and the interaction abilities according to the specifics of each medium.

A Master on the lookout for (or even at the root of) new trends and new realities of our modern world.

Did you say Transmedia?

In a context where the borders between designers, senders and receivers are getting blurry, transmedia is the experience aimed at developing a narrative content on several media by making a difference between the developed content and the interaction ability according to the specifics of each medium. Originally used to develop narrative content for editorial, television or video game related purposes, transmedia can also be used in the marketing or advertising domains.

The importance of training the young generation

In view of the perspectives offered by transmedia, among others in terms of employment in the French-speaking part of Belgium, the currently available programmes are not satisfactory. The arrival of this Master will allow young generations (and others) to gain and understand new skills related to transmedia. A Master on the lookout for (or even at the root of) new trends and new realities of our modern world.

Pending the last official validation, the whole team of this hybrid Master is working now on the implementation of the Master within the three institutions. All indicators are now green to launch the Master at the next school start.
